The Legal Elite selection process begins with inviting all members of the Florida Bar to provide the names of Florida lawyers they hold in the highest regard—lawyers they have worked with personally or would recommend to others. The votes were tallied by an independent research firm, and a Blue Ribbon Panel of prominent lawyers reviewed the list of attorneys who garnered the most votes. Those making the Legal Elite represent approximately the top 2% of the active Florida Bar members who practice in Florida.
The Super Lawyers process of selecting its top final 5% of attorneys begins with nominations from peer attorneys. An independent third-party then researches across 12 categories and candidates are reviewed by attorneys who received the highest totals from each category.
